Elizabeth and Carlos (Kent) Campbell

The Campbell family lived for 4 years in El Salvador during the 1970s where Kent worked with the Ministry of Health on nation-wide malaria control.

Following his 23 years of service with CDC, he joined the faculty of the Arizona Health Sciences Center where he led the development of the College of Public Health and served at its interim Dean for 2 years. Beginning in 2003, Kent served as a consultant to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for the development of the Foundation’s malaria control program in Africa.

Liz worked as a Librarian doing research and cataloging in medical, scientific and legal libraries, in 3 foreign countries [El Salvador, Geneva at WHO, Tanzania] as well as 4 different US states. They live in Tucson, AZ.
